　ElectronicIntifada.netのテクニカルサポート担当者は、パレスチナ自治政府（PNA）の公式ウェブサイトの管理または保守ができない状態である。担当者は、これがイスラエル国防軍（IDF）の妨害によるものとしている。現在、パレスチナ各省とPNAのウェブサイトの半分にしかアクセスできなくなっている。iDEFENSE 情報局が2002年4月17日のさまざまな時間にアクセスを試みた結果、以下のウェブサイトにアクセスが不可能であった。

・情報省（Ministry of Information）
・地方自治省（Ministry of Local Government）
・立法府（Palestinian Legislative Council）
・水資源局（Palestinian Water Authority）

　企画国際協力省のウェブサイトには、ElectronicInifada.net が掲示した以下のメッセージが表示された。

Due to disruptions of Palestine-based webservers as a result of the Israeli invasion of Palestinian towns, you may have arrived here while trying to access a different website.

The hard-working technical staff maintaining webservers on the ground are dealing with shoot-to-kill curfews, no electricity thanks to Israeli military cut-offs of the power, and other severe obstacles.

Until these issues are resolved some sites are temporarily redirecting their URLs here, where you can find information from a Palestinian point of view. Normal service will be resumed as soon as possible.

　Electronic Intifadaプロジェクトは、パレスチナ支持派の活動家ネットワークが作成するオンライン出版物で、インターネットとメディアを利用した積極行動主義を唱えている。同グループは、全世界のメディアにパレスチナ人の意見を正しく伝えることを主な目的としている。2001年2月23日に初公開されたElectronic Intifadaのウェブサイトによれば、同ウェブサイトは政治的、党派的、民族的または宗教的に中立であり、同サイトに掲載されているイスラエル・パレスチナ紛争についての見解は、普遍的な人権と国際法に基づくものである。

◆分析：
　(iDEFENSE 米国) 2002年4月12日にAlquds Universityのウェブサイトに投稿されたメッセージは、IDF が特定の大学施設に与えた物理的損害に言及している。そのため、PNAのウェブサイトをホストするウェブサーバーの設置場所によっては、サーバーが損害を受けた可能性がある。また、この攻撃により、多数の地域が停電した。

　今回は、サイバー攻撃よりも、IDFがウェブサーバーへのアクセスを物理的に遮断した可能性が高い。ただし、一部のPNAウェブサイトへのアクセスが可能なままであることは珍しい。
